Acresius transports the viewer into a magical realm, where the paranormal and the hyperreal combine with harmony and unsettling beauty. His subjects float between ethereal realms, transporting us to find magic in our immediate surroundings. The artist creates dissonance and fantasy as mirrors of metaphorical themes. The paintings are often idyllic, escaping into technicolor dreamscapes. The lore of fairytales unveils its many glamours to an enchanting cosmos. Being diaristic, Acresius fills his sketchbooks with mythic, psychedelic imagery and surrealist iconographies. He approaches art production through holographic imaging, layering, and sampling concepts into psychedelic landscapes. His works bind between depiction, suggestion, surrealism, and fantasy.
