I am a photographer based in Naples, a city where chaos continually gives birth to beauty. As an artist, I am driven by the idea of capturing the ephemeral—light, people, moments—and preserving them in time, giving them a sense of eternity. My work explores the interaction between the world around me and my personal perception, highlighting the fleeting beauty of everyday life through various techniques such as long exposures, the use of glass filters, and digital editing. This editing allows me to imprint my personal sensitivity on each image, with professional equipment as well as a high-end smartphone that enables me to instantly capture whatever draws my eye. My journey is deeply influenced by Longwy, my hometown in France, marked by an industrial past and the steel industry's decline. From childhood, I witnessed social and industrial upheavals, which inspired me to capture and preserve what is at risk of disappearing. Today, I still strive to capture traces of what may fade, as well as what endures through the ages, bringing a sense of continuity and comfort. I chose photography for its blend of aesthetics and technique, and for its unique ability to immortalize a moment—a quality I find superior to moving images. After studying photography in Namur, Belgium, at a time when it was still predominantly analog, I learned, among other things, to master film development in the darkroom. This experience still influences how I work today, even with digital tools. Since I was 16, I have been creating art through photography, having started earlier with writing poems and texts. My work has been exhibited at events such as "Torri in Festa Torri in Luce" in Ischia, as well as in galleries in Naples like "4 Pareti" and Koine. Today, I favor large formats that allow for total immersion in the subject, although I also appreciate the intimacy of smaller formats. My art is my unique way of contributing to the world and adding my own voice to the grand spectacle of life.
