No One Else Matters (Acrylic Face-mount) Photograph

This art piece is a very modern style face-mounted acrylic photographic print. No framing is necessary. The image bleeds to the edge of the polished 1/4" acrylic. I took this photograph during the month of June in Venice Beach, California, when the gloominess was just hanging in the air. The feeling on that day was quiet, yet people were milling about. The two boys in the foreground were playing as if no one else was around. The way that they are the main focus compared to the other people gives it the feeling that they don't care who else is around. They are in their own world. The minimalism of the surrounding sky lended itself to using pink in my mind. The small bit of sand and the reflections from the water round out the beach image. The image is printed on Epson premium glossy photo paper, facemounted on 1/4" acrylic. There is a 3mm PVC black backing for added support and a 3/4" thick metal backer with wire, ready to hang. This face-mounted acrylic print is created on-demand and requires two weeks for assembly.
