When researching Black Dahlias I came across the chilling story of an American woman called Elizabeth Short who was murdered in California in 1947. Elizabeth Short was nicknamed 'The Black Dahlia' by the media at the time. The case was much publicised and the culprit was never caught. Short was found mutilated, her body sliced with clinical precision in half at the waist. I created this piece with the Dahlias to honour Elizabeth Short. Available in smaller size - click on other image in 'BLACKLIGHT' Collection for more details. The price of this work increases as the edition sells out. It is a Limited Edition of 7 photographic prints.
