About The Artwork

This particular body of work `Orchids` is inspired by the Lebanese Poet Kahlil Gibran and his `Song of the Flower` Poem as well as the ever changing Qi (Energy) influencing the human body. Some of Henriette`s DNA influences fuel a special interest for Eastern Art and Culture in all its expressions. The images are printed on mat photographic paper and finished with hand painting in acrylic and Indian inks. While handling the paint brush, parts of the image are blend out, which, stay as important part of the artwork, as a shadow in the background. The image has a tender soft surface and appearance. Each of these unframed images are unique pieces because of their painted finish, and are available as limited editions on: A3 Format: Euro 997,00 A4 Format: Euro 697,00 A5 Format: Euro 497,00 A6 Format: Euro 297,00

This particular body of work `Orchids` is inspired by the Lebanese Poet Kahlil Gibran and his `Song of the Flower` Poem. Henriette is especially interested in Nature and its energies, as well as Eastern Art and Culture in all its expressions. Like many flowers, Orchids have a symbolic meaning in different countries in the world i.e. beauty, love, exotic, elegance, tenderness, strength. They have an extraordinary appearance and colouring when you look closely. These Orchid images are printed on mat photographic paper and finished with hand painting in acrylic and Indian inks. While handling the paint brush, parts of the image are blend out, which, stay as important part of the artwork, as a shadow in the background. The image has a tender soft surface and appearance. Through this personal handling of the painting brush, every image is different and unique. Currently Henriette is working in Switzerland and Spain.
