Parasites of the Viral Twenties - Limited Edition of 1 Photograph

This piece is a raw-fisted punch in the face of the slithery, opportunists known as Real Estate Agents -and their greasy thug political-mates spewing rhetoric as the country divide between rich and poor slides... ever-widening the gap in social equity. It's happening everywhere and they've put a muzzle on it - a muffler, a silencer -last week down the road, a whole street of elderly tenants were evicted from their homes - places that they've rented for 20-30 years....kicked out with no protection, nowhere to go and no voice... just so the pocket-bulge of the modern-day 2nd hand-car salesmen can grow by catering to the wealthy now fleeing the cities and cherry-picking their shiny new life. Single parents and those on disability pensions also evicted. Homelessness meteorically rising in the town, the state, all over this country. The one that shouts how FAIR it is over the top of any croak of challenge or dissent. These heartless-slick, smiling, puffed up petty tyrants have taken advantage of The Pandemic to take a vicious, silver-toed boot kick right in the ribs and guts of those struggling the most - then grinding in the heel while they're down. Buzzards picking at the carcass of the lower-socio-economic and disadvantaged. Slyly winking at their government-buddies with their swinging, wobbly, belly-meat-cargos of flesh pressed into suits - all standing by flapping their pasty jaws and feigning earnest 'concern' when all the while, averting their darting eyes to the unregulated increase in the cost of affordable shelter. House and rental prices sky-rocketing as the sound of the lower-socio economic wheeze is drowned-out by the turkey-gobble-machine-gun-gabble of auctioneers and the slam of another gavel. 'Real' FFS? Real Estate - 'real' only by name. The gall of mini-overlords prancing, sneering and getting louder as they throw their weight around. Yup, you can tell a lot about a person by the way they speak to - hospitality staff - waiters, bar-workers, cleaners and those who rent. The audacity to stamp the term 'ACTUAL VIEW' over the top of an advert for an unaffordable one-room box on their rental page. Implicating themselves as the mendacious, fair-weather, obsequious pedlars they are. So... you Agents of Change....if this one is an ACTUAL VIEW? What does it say about your other photo-shopped, over-priced domiciles? The absence of regulatory legislative control over property prices. The absence of heart. The absence of keeping it REAL.
