My primary objective is to analyze the epistemological side of illusionism and to better understand the nature of representations. I regard my works as the byproduct of such investigations. Analytical philosophy and cognitive science offer different perspectives than the semiotic and poststructuralist discourse. In the past 30-40 years, the representatives of the various disciplines have detected multiple turns in scientific thinking: linguistic turn, rhetorical turn, narrative turn, interpretive turn, image turn, anthropological turn and cultural turn. The commonality among these is that the object of the investigation becomes less relevant than the method of the investigation. This movement led to a change in representation: from the positivist, realist and ’naive’ reflection-theories to the questioning of the transparency of representations.
