Pig on Nanpu Bridge Photograph - Limited Edition of 10

I took this picture on the Nanpu Bridge connecting Puxi with Pudong. Two areas of Shanghai separated by the river Huang Pu. The man transported a pig on his scooter presumably on the way to a market where he would later sell his meat. I took 888 pictures in China over the past 30 years. 8 is a very lucky number in Chinese culture. My art is therefore called “ China in 888 pictures” The images show the transformation of life in China during the last three decades. No country in the world has transformed itself at such a speed. Andy Warhol has always been my Artistic Idol and my work is therefore based on his principles of brightly colored images which were mostly produced by the silk screen printing process.
