'Poet of Chance' plays with the notion of time and opportunity and how those two forces interact with a single given object - in this case a red scarf which was given to me in 2011 at a party hosted by Ferrari in Miami - hence the color.

BIO Photographic artist Robin Hill is a Creative Soul with Eclectic Ideas. “Energy in form” are the words that best describe the collected work created by Robin Hill. An award-winning Miami and New York-based art photographer, Hill invokes his observation and intuition as he straddles the boundaries between art, architecture, design, and spirit by using his medium of choice; photography. Born & raised in Nottingham, England, Hill began his career 31 years ago in the most inauspicious way by taking pictures of toddlers in supermarkets and department stores across London. He didn’t know at that stage that one day his Architectural and art imagery would be exhibited at the Guggenheim Museum in New York and Bilbao or grace the pages of the world’s leading publications such as Vanity Fair and Elle Decor. Hill likes to see his artistic process as a metaphorical tripod with the three legs of his photography; architecture, design and fine art all coming together within the camera that sits on top of the tripod. Collectors note the strong architectural foundation in Hill’s images and appreciate his imagery which is both eclectic and historic. His work has been described as perspectives colliding while geometries intersect, and light playing with shadow while whimsy dances with rigor. Hill, a celebrated architectural photographer first combined his love of architecture and art through a project known as MiMo (MIami MOdern), which is a movement to preserve post-war architecture in Miami and resulted in the seminal exhibition ‘Beyond the Box’ which debuted at the Municipal Art Society in New York City and resulted in the publication of MiMo: Miami Modern revealed (Chronicle books 2004). The first of more than twenty books that Hill has collaborated on. Hill became involved with other media hosting the EMMY award-winning PBS TV show ‘Art 360″ whilst continuing his commercial and art photography career, working with world-class architects such as Zaha Hadid, Herzog & de Meuron and Arquitectonica and exhibiting throughout North America.
