About The Artwork
The series of portraits was commissioned by Tomer himself and shot exclusively for "Cool America" magazine in July 2022. The concept behind was: a modern-day Indiana Jones who finds himself exploring mysterious locations in the ancient city of Ramle, Israel. We shot in the White Tower and the reservoirs on the White Tower's compound Built around 789 A.D. by the Caliph Hard al Rashid ("The One Thousand and One Nights"). The White Tower was built. circa 8 A.D. 80 meters high, it was ordered by the Mamluk Sultan Muhammad Ibn Khalhoun and completed in 1318. It served as a watch tower, offering 360-degree panoramic views of the area. Also used as such during Napoleon's visit in the 18th cc. The concept was a time-travel odyssey by a young generation- Indiana Jones. Tomer has absolutely loved the results which he kindly praised on his social media !
