About The Artwork
Signed limited edition digital print. This artwork is a result of experimentation with traditional printmaking (aquatint and drypoint) and photography. “Reflections” is an ongoing photography series which has started in 2014 with a purpose of documenting my printmaking process. I try to catch each phase of this multi layered process. Since sometimes my own reflection can be visible in the surface of a printing plate, I started to fit it into the composition. Spontaneously it became a full series of mirroring games and a chance for my inner reflection.

Berlin-based artist Marija Brasnic is exploring the possibilities of the unconscious mind through her experimental practices in art. She is developing her own visual language by combining intaglio printmaking techniques with digital media. Marija obtained a Master’s degree in Fine Arts at The Academy of Arts in her hometown Osijek, Croatia. Her works have been exhibited at galleries around Europe and she was awarded for her illustration work.
