I am currently a student at Wolverhampton University, studying photography. I base alot of my work around my personal life. As i feel this gives my work a individual insight into my life. Title- Revolver "˜There are places I remember All my life, though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain'. In my life- the Beatles My freedom and control work is focusing mainly on the aspect of how numerous items get regenerated and re used, in my case fashions and trends throughout a selection of decades. I have looked closely at six decades which I feel are influential, where I have chosen from each an essential part to focus on. I now have a variety of images for three decades to signify the way I feel they should be represented. I have investigated diverse techniques used in the period from the first decade, up until the third decade's techniques. This has given me a better understanding of the type of image created. This has then encouraged my own thoughts and ideas where I have decided to create this piece of work due to the way I believe everything comes back around, either through fashion, trends or items being re used. This is personal within my life as I collect an array of old vintage items down to clothes and cameras. Which I believe makes my work more of a personal journey within the aspect of photography. I have considered the audience my work will be shown to, and the series of items I have to consider. For instance the processes and issues my work will play upon, for example social issues. Due to a lot of my images being based around fashion and trends which people can have a connection with today. My influences are primary everything I see, feel and experience, as I believe this plays a big part in not just my work but in others around me. Even though I have based a lot of my own interests around the work I am creating at the moment, the majority of my practice is linked in with my social and personal view and feelings towards the world and the people around me. By doing this I have created a practice personal to me and my life, where I can enjoy and relate a lot of my life to my work. In time when I leave university I want my work to be able to stand out from the crowd, and by relating my work to my life no one will have similar work to me. This will help my career in the future.
