I photograph things that deserve a second look. Growing up surrounded by America's automotive heritage in Michigan, I developed an eye for the details most people walk past — the sculptural curve of a 1939 Ford grille, the soaring optimism of a Cadillac tail fin, the way chrome catches light like nothing else on earth. That same attention to overlooked beauty shapes my botanical work. A backlit calla lily and an Art Deco hood ornament have more in common than they appear — both are studies in form, light, and the craftsmanship of things made to be beautiful. I work with museum-quality studio lighting against gallery blacks, transforming authentic subjects into fine art. Based between Michigan and Florida, I photograph classic automobiles and botanical subjects year-round. Every image asks one question: what happens when you look closely enough?
