Salvament 7 - Limited Edition of 20 Photograph

Anna Encheva found her love for photography as a child patiently waiting in her father’s dark room for the images to appear on the wet white paper in the dim red light. She often borrowed her dad’s 35mm film camera and learned to look and explore carefully before pressing the shutter. She worked as a commercial photographer for magazines in her native Varna, Bulgaria and that’s when she embraced digital photography. Next she moved to Santa Cruz California, where she studied business but kept photography as her preferred way to express and explore, moved again to Toronto, Canada, where she embraced her love for art and photography in it’s entirety. She studied photography and visual arts in the Toronto School of Art and later dedicated 7 years on her passion project of capturing music, musicians and dance. She is best known for her music photography. Extraordinary in their tonal range and vibrant colours, Encheva’s meticulously studied music scenes powerfully deliver the emotional link between the music and the musician - the emotions and the spark of creativity and joy. Many musicians have embraced Encheva’s vision for their albums. Since 2020 Anna is living in Barcelona, Spain. She is passionately working on a new photographic project dedicated to the sea, the beach and the joy of life. This is her response to everything that is happening in the world.
