Born in Sicily in 1990, my studies in Architecture shaped my eye and sensitivity toward beauty, proportion, and the essence of places. I began photographing quite late, fascinated by the analog cameras left by my father, and in these eight years of research, I have built a personal language that has led to numerous recognitions by the editors of Vogue Italia. For me, photographing is never a neutral act: it is storytelling, vision, questioning. The sea is part of my essence, both as a person and as an artist. Growing up in Sicily, I developed a deep relationship with it, and at the heart of my work, every image of the sea arises from an inner urgency: to tell a vision, an impression, a fragment of existence revealed through it. I do not seek to capture the sea as a simple landscape, but as a living presence, ever-changing, shaping and being shaped by everything it touches. The sea is both subject and interlocutor, memory and metamorphosis. By narrating it through its movement, its reflections, and the subjects that inhabit it, my photography always seeks to go beyond mere representation of reality — striving instead to witness identity and the relationships between all its parts. This way of approaching the photographic act also guides me in my many other personal projects — in my impressions of cities, of travel, and in the solitude of my landscapes.
