Sanctuary #2 - Limited Edition of 10 Photograph

My small garden is a place of rest and a source for personal and artistic growth. In the tradition of trompe l'oeil and Baroque still life painting, this digital construction of architectural and botanic elements provides a theatrical space for personal symbols and stories related to my personal landscape. The working title for this series of works is 'Theatre botanicals'. I use photographic elements (mine and public domain images) as well as scanned painted textures and images (mine). These are layered into the finished compositions and then printed. Each image has 100s of layers which are cut and pasted, digitally drawn and blended/manipulated. The process is a lot like making a layered collage/mixed media work, but done digitally. This Giclée print is from a Limited Edition of only 10 prints on paper. The cotton rag paper print is titled, signed, dated, and numbered by hand according to the conventions of limited edition prints. The print is also shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity, which states that the work only exists as one of 10 prints on paper.
