About The Artwork

A sequence is a melodic repetition of the same theme with slight variations. Our world is a sequence. The Earth spins every day with small alterations to its location in our solar system. The waves in this photo symbolize this rhythm of life and look like picture of a musical wave. Each person is like a melody playing its own sequence as each of our experiences slightly amends us. We repeat ourselves consistently, but already at the next level, a pitch higher. Extremely diverse musical combinations can be met in life like house and classical music, rock and opera. Just as people can be totally different when together. There are two rows in the photo: one wave, followed by another. These are two people: each of them with their own sequence, though they share the same room. They complement each other. And, like waves, they play in unison. This work is a part of the "Flow of Life" photo art project. It draws the parallel between the ocean & the human being's perspectives. Through the captured movement of water, it reflects feelings, states, and situations of the observer's life. Photo artworks are impulses for feelings and reflections. Each wave has its own personality and mood, unique and coherent, like each one of us. Waves are as different as human beings and the events of our lives, and as connected as every human being in the world. Waves unfold in their courses like a person’s life in a stream of feelings and events. These metaphors are infinite. Available in 2 sizes: - Limited edition of 10 copies in 50 x 75 cm - Limited edition of 10 copies in 120 x 80 cm - Fine-art print paper - Fine white borders - Signed & numbered by the artist - Comes with a signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity, and an additional card with details to be affixed to the back when framed. - Highly recommended to frame the artwork using museum glass

Jelena Belous (1984) is a young photographer from Riga. She has been engaged in photography since 2016. Her artwork is often dedicated to the theme of nature, landscape, water, and the human body. With the help of lines, forms, and textures, the author conveys mood, state of mind, character, profound feelings, and a deep connection with nature. From a family of seafarer, Jelena has been immersed in the marine environment since childhood. The water element has always been somewhat nearby. In search of her direction as a photo-artist, she turned to childhood memories and feelings, thus finding her place in art, using photography as her main visual medium. In her "Flow of Life" photo art project, Jelena approaches the movement of water in different ways, forming varied textures and patterns. Thus, in her photographs, water is transformed into abstract paintings. In 2021 Jelena has exhibited her first personal exhibition in Digital Art House in Riga, Latvia. Which was accompanied by amazing feedbacks. Visitors came back to the exhibition several times.
