"Shanghai People 01 - Limited Edition 1 of 10" Photograph

Already at a young age I feels attracted to an artistic career. I had training in the Academy in Antwerp later, I was still training at the academy of drawing illustrations Kontich. First, I specializes in pencil drawings and oil paintings. The work of me is a mixture between the figurative and the abstract. Photography has also always been my passion, I was one of the first who did digital photography in Belgium. For my regular job I was traveling to many cities around the world like, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Bangkok, Venice, Milan, Warsaw, Krakau Birmingham, Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, etc. I am fascinated by the differences of culture and daily life, every city has its own character, I find this very fascinating. Through my daily work I became fascinated by the possibilities of digital imaging. Hundreds of images merges it into powerful compositions that are enriched with computer art and various painting techniques. The work is a quest, in my work you can always discover new things that at first sight not seen before. This keeps you constantly fascinating this work. Inspired by including fashion, design, architecture, travel and music, new ideas coming up for new works constantly to me. With the project "Cities off the world" Jules gives his impression of these cities. Since 1,5 year i started with making bronze statues, this give me the possibility to work in 3D.
