Photography: Color, Ink, giclee, fine art on Canvas.
The colours of Summer in Scotland, subtle shades of muted ochre, teal blue and green. The Isle of Skye is a place of endless folding hills and small cottages, of beautiful flowing grasses and streams.
TITLE: Sing the Wind
This beautiful old poem just seems to echo my thoughts.
Come, then, let us be straying,
Where the hazel boughs are playing
O'er yon summits gray:
Mild now the breeze is blowing,
And the crystal streamlet's flowing
Gently on its way.
On its banks the wild rose springing
Welcomes in the sunny ray,
Wet with dew its head is hinging bending low the prickly spray:
Then haste, my love while birds are singing
To the new-born day.
from Hark, Hark the Skylark Singing by Scottish poet James Scadlock 1775 - 1818
This print is available on fine art paper and I can do custom sizes. It is also available in a 60 x 40 inch size on canvas or ChromaLuxe aluminium.
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime!
For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured museum quality canvas and the highest quality inks.
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use.
A few notes worth mentioning:
The size given is image size. It is quoted in inches and in addition to the final size there is an extra border, called a gallery wrap, this is for the sides of the picture.
Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 2 inch gallery wrpas standard i.e the image continues round the frame when stretched. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery.
Thanks for looking, if you have any questions just let me know.
