Conceptual photographer Juliana Lauletta is more interested in composing her images rather than capturing subjects as they are. Her methods characteristically involve crafting the props from scratch, arranging the elements in a meticulous designed composition and adding an element of surprise (movement, water, ink, fire, etc). With saturated colours, high contrasts and strong textures, Lauletta’s inventiveness pictures often blur the line between photography and imagination. Juliana is Brazilian and has a background in filmmaking. Works as a self-shooting director, photographer, designer and voice over artist with clients that range from small companies to multinational corporations. In 2015, she moved to London to pursue her art career. Since then she created a Meetup group to empower emerging artists that has more than 5000 members and hosted more than 100 art / creativity events and workshops. Her images have been featured on TimeOut London, Londonist and BBC and she participated in exhibitions in London, Edinburgh and Prague.
