BIO Stacey Moore is an interdisciplinary visual artist, designer, metalsmith, and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles. Moore is self-taught in several disciplines and has won multiple awards for art, graphic design, web engineering, and business leadership. Her metal works have been sold at leading jewelry galleries and retail stores including SFMOMA Museum Store and The Guggenheim Store. She is a member of the Los Angeles Art Association. ARTIST STATEMENT I find my expression in the immediate vicinity of my Southern California home. Present to the spectacle of life around me, I wait and watch. The spectacle becomes my palette, the camera my brush. Wielding the camera with physical gestures, I translate my environs into color, contrast, shape, and motion—with varying degrees of distortion. Time and place are abstracted to explore color and light. Flora, fauna, man, and environment are instruments to investigate movement, stillness, diffusion, and detail. Process and product are inextricable.
