ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The island of Hokkaido, in the north of Japan, is during winter fully covered in snow. Whilst making images during a trip in 2016 I was inspired and influenced by Japanese art forms. With this blanket of snow I interpreted the landscape as being reduced to minimal, silent and graphic patterns and forms. Archival pigment ink print on Canson Infinity Rag Photographique (310gsm) fine art paper. Limited edition of 5 prints. Signed and numbered on front (below printed area). Printed area is 50x50cm, white border around printed area.
