My joy, that is all, The pain died at dawn In the gentle fingers of clouds. Unborn day glides Like a pink silk. My sigh and it is so easy now! The air is pouring through the windows, Time. We left home, We are standing over a precipice, Meeting a dawn. My joy, that is all, The pain will no longer exist. Mountains are melting with a gold light. And the rivers have flashed - Hosanna! - And the sun has risen. The light‘s penetrated us! We are transparent to the light! Boy, did you understand what has happened to you This morning? You’ve understood ... (c) S. Kalugin The author controls the printing personally. All photos are printed on high quality archival paper (acid-free paper) Hahnemuhle. It is one of the ways of unobtrusive communication with the world, a form of meditation. My internal strings vibrate with a gentle timbre and crawling sensation while I shoot nature. A photo for me is an opportunity. The opportunity to break out of the routine, the opportunity to enjoy, the opportunity to experience, the opportunity to look and see a little differently. My work is not a documentary fixation of reality, it is an attempt to convey moods and sensations, elusive and inexpressible fluids. At the same time, I do not contradict the documentary matter of photography. I do not bring any rude interference, changing the digital reality for the sake of efficiency. All the pictures are authentic, with no graphic edition. It is a balance between the edges of reality and some subtle substances. It is a trying to touch a stretched veil between the familiar and inexplicable matters. To breathe the air of another world without damaging the sensitive membrane. To see the elusory things and remain unnoticed. To look beyond the land of Deepwater Fish. I talk about the beauty in ordinary things.
