Like the other reports of the artist, it is a series of photos produced with the support of Google Maps virtual basis. Serradifalco directed the camera lens of the satellite towards the works of Land Art realized to a greater extent between the 1960s and 1980s by the artists Robert Smithson, Nancy Holt, Michael Heizer, Alberto Burri, and James Turrel. By incorporating the work of Land Art in his photo shoot, the artist creates, as he already used to do, his work of Land Art. The double level of Land Art present tin his photo allows us to talk of Meta Land Art, that is a work of Land Art which contains a work of Land Art derived from the encounter between an artistic sign introduced in the landscape (for example Nancy Holt’s tunnels) and the natural and accidental forms of the earth in which it has been inserted (in this case the Utah Desert). To this Pirandello-like implementation, Serradifalco adds the perceptive element of apophenia exploited by artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Salvador Dalί, Max Ernst or Jean Dubuffet.

Max Serradifalco (Palermo 1978). In the 2011 he elaborates the artistic project "Web Landscape Photography" in which he virtually travelled all over the planet in search of a new way of observing and reinterpreting the landscapes of the Earth. He was among the first artists to realize, through the web, photographic artworks with the exclusive use of satellite maps. A work with a great and revolutionary aesthetic impact, an art that eliminates every space and time boundary. The photography are not manipulated. ----------------------------- Public Collections in Italy: Riso - Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Sicily (Palermo). Exclusiva Design Foundation (Rome).
