Born in Portugal in 1965, lived all his life near the ocean (Carcavelos, Lisbon). From early in his live, he got in love with the ocean, with surf and with photography. However, his education would be linked to the sciences, having graduated in Computer Science in 1989. Despite a professional life linked to engineering, his taste and interest in the arts in general, and particularly in photography, never went away. Today, at a distance of many years, he acknowledges that his father's extensive library as well as the presence of other family members connected to the art world, have had a decisive influence on the development of his artistic sensibility. Around his 35 years, photography becomes a priority and he begins a long journey of learning, experimentation and acquisition of knowledge and techniques. Influenced by the patterns of Andreas Gursky, the landscapes of Peter Lik, and the light of Joe McNally, since then his photography reveals the relentless pursuit of creating a quiet moment in the tenuous balance between time, light and space. Apart from the ocean and all that is closely associated with it in seascapes, other natural landscapes appear as recurring themes in his photography. Sometimes his passion for music has motivated him to shoot some important musicians and musical concerts. Over the past few years has spurred several photography workshops and has been a regular contributor to several photographic communities, including Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk.
