Jordi Vidal lives and works in Barcelona. He is professor of Photography of Music and Performing Arts at Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya. Jordi Vidal has always been fascinated by the world of music, performing arts and photography. After completing his studies at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya, he has worked in different photographic fields such as documentary, corporate, editorial, travel and advertising, specializing in corporate events and entertainment photography. An official photographer for various dance, theatre and music festivals, he has collaborated with promoters, record companies, musicians, dancers and choreographers, creating photographs for promotion, posters and album covers. His photos are usually published in specialized national and international magazines and press. He regularly collaborates with international agencies. Some of his photographs of theatre and dance can be found as part of the collection at the Center for Documentation of the Museu de les Arts Esceniques (Museum of Performing Arts) in Barcelona. His project "Rosa Muñoz Time Lapse 1991-2020" was aquired by the National Collection of Photography of Catalonia. His personal projects aim to explore the human condition, emotions and the passage of time.
