I use the cyanotype medium to capture the beauty and fragility of sea ice and glaciers. The stunning beauty and majesty of these frozen landscapes are unparalleled, but the harsh reality of their disappearance serves as a warning of the devastating effects of global warming. With my works, I want to evoke the melting of sea ice and glaciers, water flows, ice, changes in water temperature and rising sea levels. I hope that with my works I will contribute to raising awareness about the current climate crisis, the importance of preserving our planet, and emphasize the need to act in order to prevent further destruction of the environment. Cyanotype on Wenzhou rice paper, fine, yet rough texture. Paper glued to stretched canvas with Phoenix Heavy matt gel medium. Two pieces, each size 40*60*1 cm. Weight 360gr/piece.
