Symbiosis I Multiple exposure and digital collage; 12-colour pigment print on cotton paper What happens when humans manage and change natural areas over long periods of time? And what happens when man leaves this space again? The pictures of the series "Hidden Landscapes" are part of a long-term project on the topic of nature patterns. They are created in extinct volcanoes, abandoned quarries and protected nature reserves that are not influenced by humans - sometimes in dense fog or at night. When something disappears, something new is always revealed. "Symbioses" is an image composition of several individual photographic images of mosses, lichens, stones and dead wood. Some elements have special symbiotic properties. Lichens are one of the most durable creatures in our world and can live for several thousand years. "Deadwood" is of particular importance for the preservation of biodiversity in the forest. It is not only a new habitat and a source of food for many organisms, but also a microcosm with landscapes in its own aesthetic. This microcosm may give us a glimpse of the primeval forests of tomorrow, which are to be created in protected nature reserves. Limited edition: 7 + 1 AP The artwork offered here (No.: #147-1.1/7) was printed in limited edition in the artist's studio and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. The giclée print was made with pigmented ink of the highest archive quality on matt cotton paper 308 g/m2. The matt paper guarantees a natural image reproduction with high colour depth without reflections and is characterised by a soft surface and feel. The print has an all-round material addition for later framing (the artwork is delivered without frame). If required - within the framework of the limited edition - other solutions are also possible - for example ready to hang up. The work of art can also be made in an individual size as a unique piece. Please ask for an individual offer.

His works on nature patterns and the relativity of perception are mostly created over long periods of time. The realisation often takes place at special, authentic natural sites, using photographic means. Essential design elements are precise planning, meditation and chance, light and darkness, perspective and time. By combining different perspectives and periods of time, he uses elaborate collages of natural patterns to aim at the meta-level of being.
