Alister Benn is a Scottish artist who has returned to his home country after 15 years living in the Himalayan Regions of Tibet and SW China. His work is the product of an inquisitive, yet thoughtful mind and aims to not only reflect his personality, but offer an insight into a world under pressure. His prints are very much like his personality; mysterious and dark, but with a hint of optimism and the ability to bring light and radiance to a room. "The most important thing I learned from spending all that time with the Tibetan people was the connection they have with their faith and their landscape. You cannot separate one from the other, their whole being is radiating from the land and their spiritual connections. I loved that, and now, in Scotland, I aim to have that relationship with my surroundings."
