She was so beautiful, and she had to take care of a lot of things. Things you can never imagine because it is too much for you and for me. She now is going crazy because she became so blue. She doesn´t know what happened but she can´t feel and this is true. She had to take care of the animals, the lands, and the seas. She could feel the love and she could feel the wind. She could have enjoyed those precious presents but she didn´t do the right thing. Her name is “Humanity”, and she can´t see. She is destroying everything, and everything looks so weak. Destroying the love and seas, the peace and lands, the animals and sky. She has a frozen heart; a heart that doesn´t feel. For her, it doesn´t matter, she looks down and doesn’t think. She has death in her soul, and she forgot what was her role. I am not crazy, this is true, I don´t know what we can do. Let´s try together to melt our hearts -all we have to do is try.

Costa Rica
I was born in San José, Costa Rica I am an electromechanical engineer, married and a mother of three. In 2015, I began my studies in photography and realized that this is my true passion. Little by little, I left my former job to devote myself completely to photography. Now I am a fine art photographer who uses photoshop to create the emotions I feel inside and want to share. In my work, everything starts in my head and my heart. Any moment or thing can be a source of inspiration for my creative process. Once I have the idea inside of me, I start to draw a picture, write about the idea and what I'm going to need. Sometimes I don't need anything more than an old dress and a cloth; other times a path, a tree. It all depends on what I imagined. Then comes the image take; I usually take several shots, and with these, my editing work begins. In editing, I give shape and color to my image, just as I had designed it. It is wonderful how little by little the image in my head comes true, and I can see with my eyes what I had seen with my soul. Most of my images are self-portraits because I want my body move as my mind imagine the subject. A lot of my work was born from the sensitivity I developed during my father´s disease. He was in a coma for 7 years -at this time I realized life is short and you never know when our journey will end. So I decided follow my dreams and trasmit all my feeling throught art. I love my decision now I just need the opportunity to show my art to the world. ¨Art helps us to personify what we envision, grasp the imaginary and transmit our thoughts.¨ -Gabriela Segura
