About The Artwork
These Remain: the images combine fragments of my life in photography with objects from my personal past. The romantic poem, a tribute to my great-great grandfather was written in Gothic Script. The author was Friederich Ruckert, who wrote texts for many of Mahler's songs. It says, "Though all hope is lost, never fail to hope. Though one door may close, a thousand others will open." The Gothic creatures fly off the walls of the Orvieto Cathedral, in Umbria, Italy. Limited edition of 10.
