Work from the series Infinity which explores the ancient symbols of Japan. /../ In the photo series Infinity Krystyna Ziach shows us that the symbol functions in the first place for the individual, or for a specific collective which identifies with it. Thus the symbol has a unifying and social function. The Shinto temples, the Secret Rooms, with their surreal play of light and darkness, the nature created with astounding care by humans in the Imperial Gardens, they illustrate fundamental aspects of Japanese culture. A culture with an eye for order and harmony, always in an intimate relationship with nature that refers to the bond between heaven and earth, to the permanent interaction between the divine and the human. /.../ Krystyna Ziach offers us images which again and again evade rational explanation. They neither give unambiguous, nor conclusive answers, but ask to be continually reinterpreted. These are images of all times, which create an unavoidable interaction between the universal and the individual by appealing to our personal imagination /.../ Text from the book Infinity & Archê / Krystyna Ziach, by Florent Bex Available : book Infinity & Archê / Krystyna Ziach text by Florent Bex, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art MuHKA in Antwerp, BE, 70 pages, bund, published by Thieme Art,NL Price: 30 $ Limited edition of 5 + 2 AP, signed and numbers on the background Printed with 2,5 cm. white border on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper, lambda-print, c-print, digital Image size : 110 cm x 135 cm paper size : 115 cm x 140 cm Available also as : Image size : 120 cm x 160 cm paper size (with white border) : 125 cm x 165 cm price : 6000 $ + sending costs

Work of Krystyna Ziach consists of autonomous conceptual photo works, photo sculptures (monumental spatial constructions or installations in which photos are incorporated) and video sculptures. From the start her work has mostly been a quest for the coherence between the arts of photography, painting, sculpture and video, this consistent with the disciplines she studied earlier. Krystyna Ziach works mainly in series with different themes and points of departures. Within the conceptual framework she gives free reing to her intuition and her emotion. Her work of recent years centers on human vulnerability and transience.
