The Lonely body (Liquid Forms, London 2022) Photograph - Limited Edition of 50

Fine Art Photography piece, shot in London in 2017, with a 35mm black and white film. It is part of my ongoing project titled 'The Lonely Body' where I embody the female body as an ideal, symbolic and poetic vehicle form of expression. In this project, I like to question the idea of nudity and investigate the shape of the body within the space, the forms that can change the perception of the body itself. I am looking at how the shape of the body and the position of the elements together can create a different narrative and go beyond the nude body itself. The idea of looking at the way the body appears transforms itself into a land of pure lines and forms. This project became for me a cathartic experience whereby the process of discovering my body took me to realise the tension and the pressure that society exercises on us on a daily basis. Nudity in itself became a way of leaving fear behind and elevating the body itself to a different level. Looking and interpreting the body as a pure appearance and as a pure image alone. All works are shot by myself and created on set in different cities and I work with both analogue and digital cameras. I am Inspired by neoclassicism, nude photography and the 'Provoke movement, Japanese photography, feminist work and abstract art. I use my body to take self-portraits and experiment with light.
