Michael Flood was born in Cheshire and currently lives in Yorkshire. He studied at University in Yorkshire and completed his MA in 2011. He won the Images of Bradford competition and has exhibited at Leeds Art Gallery. As an expressionist Michael has a fascination for breaking down photographic mechanisms, including: geometry, depth of field and focal length. He has developed his unique style while working with incompatible media, where he part-references the original photography. Ultimately, it is inevitable that, on occasion, his artwork becomes abstract.
