My photograph of Le Train Bleu in Paris is the setting for this work inspired by 15th Century painting. The subdued tones are meant to evoke the religious canon and add a sense of reverence to the youth. My favorite thing in this work is the emotion on the boy at left's face. He appears to me as if he might cry which brings an unexpected worldliness to the exquisite beauty of his youth. All of my photography is captured on film, using a Hasselblad medium format camera. I personally handle all styling, retouching and compositing with a painstaking eye for detail. This work was commissioned by a private client and is available in additional sizes.
