Sometimes I feel like I am living in a cold, cold place. Do you feel the same? Now I will tell you a story, a story inside this place. She lives with a spirit, that spirit is with her. Don´t worry, she is not crazy, she will be okay. The forest asks her for a dance, so she dances all day. She is tired but she is okay, and don´t worry she is not afraid. This is just a story that lives inside my head, as you and me could have something like this one day. I am her and you are her too, because we all have that spirit in our head, Dance with me and don´t worry, I am not crazy, I think I am okay. But wait, all this is in my head, I feel so sorry -I don´t think she is in this place, she is so far away. She doesn´t feel cold or pain. She tells me the secret of her red skirt, it is her soul dancing with her in this magic, magic place. Just be patient with me because I want to dance and dance the whole day.

Costa Rica
I was born in San José, Costa Rica I am an electromechanical engineer, married and a mother of three. In 2015, I began my studies in photography and realized that this is my true passion. Little by little, I left my former job to devote myself completely to photography. Now I am a fine art photographer who uses photoshop to create the emotions I feel inside and want to share. In my work, everything starts in my head and my heart. Any moment or thing can be a source of inspiration for my creative process. Once I have the idea inside of me, I start to draw a picture, write about the idea and what I'm going to need. Sometimes I don't need anything more than an old dress and a cloth; other times a path, a tree. It all depends on what I imagined. Then comes the image take; I usually take several shots, and with these, my editing work begins. In editing, I give shape and color to my image, just as I had designed it. It is wonderful how little by little the image in my head comes true, and I can see with my eyes what I had seen with my soul. Most of my images are self-portraits because I want my body move as my mind imagine the subject. A lot of my work was born from the sensitivity I developed during my father´s disease. He was in a coma for 7 years -at this time I realized life is short and you never know when our journey will end. So I decided follow my dreams and trasmit all my feeling throught art. I love my decision now I just need the opportunity to show my art to the world. ¨Art helps us to personify what we envision, grasp the imaginary and transmit our thoughts.¨ -Gabriela Segura
