The complete series THE WEAVER (6 images) has been nominated as FINALIST of the ART OF ENGINEERING award by Ferchau Engineering in 2018. * We created the series THE WEAVER during one of our artist residencies in India in cooperation with the Raj Art Initiative. The Raj Group is on of the oldest weaving factories in Panipat, north India. For us, the processes of machine production symbolise the pre digital age in a fascinating way. With the images we have made a connection between the analoge and digital age: the wool/weaving patterns and lines inside the sewing machines could be seen like a pre-digital combination of „0“ and „1“s, creating patterns that look like digital data streams, symbolising movement, structure, progress, change and in a way the „digitalness“ that is part of our lives today. * For sale here: Edition 90 x 67,5 cm 5 + 2 Hahnemühle Fine Art Print museum quality / Ultrachrome HDR pigmentink, numbered & signed on the back, and front if desired.
