ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Tibet #1 120x60cm Print on Art Paper Limited Edition 1/7 Signature label and Certificate. The landscape project. These works come mainly from a photographic base and are then seriously digitally reworked. I use strong, expressive digital brushstrokes and vibrant colors to create iconic landscapes. I create landscapes often with rolling hills and valleys inspired by my native Tuscany and from the places I visited. Overall, I use lines of color to add a sense of energy and dynamism to my landscapes, creating an impactful and vivid visual experience. In my art world, I question painting, sculpture and photography and continue to explore the possibilities of these mediums. In my search for colors and compositions, I try to stimulate the viewer to create their own composition and connection to my works. "I feel connected to digital graphics, pop art and minimalism, even though new technologies often lead me to explore ambiguous fields." Furio Torracchi work is held in private collections around the world, including Canada, the US, South America, Europe, and the Middle East

Furio Torracchi is a graduate Fine and Applied Art Artist and he has been working in several studios in London and Munich. Furio Torracchi deeply questions painting and photography and keeps exploring the possibilities of both mediums. Hybridity is a characteristic of his artistic labour informed by academic instruction. The artist’s formal subversion is found in the way he poses contemporary questions as to the lack of purity in the fields of art. Torracchi breaks down photographic codes in an attempt to free the medium from being an allusion to a specific space and time.
