I grew up in semi rural England in a creative home surrounded by art and engineering. After a working in jobs that often involved creativity in different ways, I am returning to art and particularly landscape. I am inspired by artists from Turner through to the Fauves, Scottish Colourists and many others who challenge how you see things. My work its generally figurative but semi abstract in some way. Photographs are often deconstructed and reconstructed to apply the affects I am looking for, and sometimes to build a series of related work.
