ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My goal was to take analog photographs in the mountains untill it comes to the point where the balance between reality and abstractness was reached. The handmade print is done on the famous Ilfochrome classic paper. The world`s most stable and colourfull paper ever. The production of it ended some years ago. The surface got finally sealed with formalin. It brings besides hardening a shining component into the picture. These photographs have a slightly slightly touch of a bluish or greenish colour because of the type of photographic paper. It reminds of a coal draft in it`s simplicity and fragility.

I was born in 1963 and grew up in the mountains of switzerland. Now I live in Zuerich/Switzerland. I understand photography as an instrument with an enormous range of styles and expression. Nourished by the experience I have gathered sketching landscapes since my childhood days I have developed a technique that enables me to DRAW photographs. Using this unique style I have done nude photography, landscapes, architecture and portraits. Nearly all of my prints were developed on baryt paper and "Ilfochrome classic".
