This work has been inspired by a friend of my, as also all the other works from this picture series. I asked my friend Belaid, who is by the way also an artist, if he could give me some of his very private pictures because I wanted to make a kind of his portrait reflecting his personal, cultural and social background. This is a very ambitious project and its going to be continuously developed since I'm going to follow up the trends in his life and reflect them in a way to crystalize the essence of his identity. This Picture is a part of a Tetraptych Transition. This piece of art is not a photoshop trick. I'm using a special photographic technique which I developed a years ago since I'm primarily interested in the materiality of the photographic medium and not in its representative aspect. The esthetically dimension of his photographic work is implicating an intensive examination of the photographic materiality. Through various picture series he is reflecting the photography as a medium in all of its aspects. His photographic works are not simple copies of the reality, but rather the poetical compositions of different times and spaces. Therefore he is using different technics which he developed at some point to edit his pictures thematically and with regards to the content. This is also the reason why those pictures looks more like paintings and less as a technical tuned photography. Those pictures have a very unique esthetic which bespeaks the fragility of the shape and the interdependency of the colors.
