Eric Parizeau was born in Quebec but lives in Paris and works between France and Canada. He worked with the pictorial possibilities of Polaroid film SX-70. This led him to take courses in drawing and painting, becoming specialist in handling the emulsion of Polaroid film. The Polaroid SX-70 film has always been at the center of his artistic work. This film allowed to work the material by repelling its fragile emulsion, creating stigmas on the photographic image. The greater the degree of intervention on the film emulsion, the greater the photographic reality was called into question, making him switch to Pictorialism. Since the "death" of Polaroid SX-70, he has evolved into a work of materials integrated into reality, around the theme of the X. This visual game allows new interpretations of the "X" in our urban society that cultivates so well the individualism.
