Katja Lichtermeer had conceived the idea for newspaper trees quite a while ago. This is a photomontage with her original photographs. This is a signed limited edition print run of 7, printed on fine art Baryta paper and comes with a 0.5 mm border to make mounting easier.. All prints are printed by an accredited fine art print house, are signed on the back. At present editions 1-4 are available. If you prefer to have the signature on the front, a differently sized print, have it printed on different material or mounted, for example, on Aluminium, which means it can be hung without frame (an extra 100 pounds), it can be arranged - please don't hesitate to contact me. This is a one-off limited signed and numbered edition. The artist, however, reserves the right to print postcards and/or feature the image in a calendar or book. All efforts are made to dispatch artwork within 7 days but on the rare occasion you may have to allow up to 12 working days for dispatch as artwork will be printed on demand.

"Photography took me on a journey and just wouldn't let me go and it became a bit of an obsession. I believe one has to follow ones heart in photography. It should be a free exploration of anything that catches ones attention. As my journey is taking me to very different places I decided to split myself into two: Katja Lichtermeer is the artist and Katja Heber is an editorial and set photographer (just dispel any confusion). Katja Lichtermeer's inspiration comes mainly from her immediate environment, experiences and encounters and feature various subjects and situations. She uses photography to comment on the human condition. Topics she touched on include impermanence, uncertainty, showing mundane detail in a new light and catching fleeting moments to give them some appreciation. She has been located mostly in London. Further influences come from film, art, philosophy, and of course, photography. One of her themes consists of finding images that naturally occur within our modern- day city environment that are reminiscent of great masters or art movements. Initially she rarely chose to digitally alter images but she has started to experiment with photomontage and the manipulation of images. And she has also started painting and shooting videos. Katja Lichtermeer was born in Germany, but London has been her home for most of her life. All art on this site is copyrighted. (c) protected by copyright. +447852254549, or e-mail her:
