This work comes from my interest in photography and drawing. At first I photographed different kinds of fruits and vegetables, being attracted by their vibrant colors, and then I used Photoshop to make digital collages with these images. Compared to the original technique, Photoshop allowed me to use photos as a source of colors and to draw freely with them. The result is a series of images half way between photography and drawing, balancing between abstraction and representation, as the initial subject can still be retraced in the texture and colors of the different kinds of fruits while the shapes are set free through the use of Photoshop. Both photographic and drawing elements are deeply fused together in one compact image whose nature is ambiguous and cannot be immediately deciphered. My interest is exactly to explore the new opportunities that digital tools offer in order to connect photography and drawing.  Playing with the encounter/clash between these two elements and experimenting with their balance is a way to possibly create new images, not yet seen. This way working on each image is like moving forward in an unexplored terrain, where most interventions come out of improvisation.  The meaning of this work lies exactly in this playful disposition, a free experimentation leading to the discovery of the marvelous in ordinary subjects. The name of the work refers to a famous rock and roll song played by Little Richard in the ’50. This image is printed in a profession lab, according to the highest standards. The paper used is Hahnemuhle photorag baryta, 315 g/m². It is one of the best fine art paper on the market and meets the most exact requirements in terms of age resistance. The photo is printed with 2cm white border each side, which makes it easy for putting in frame. Comes with signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity, to be affixed to the back when framed.
