About The Artwork

The Pisa's mural by Keith Harring 1989. The mural's title is 'Tuttomondo" a word which sums up the artist's constant pursuit of interaction with the public, represented in this case by the yellow figure which is walking or running in the center of the composition on the same level as a passer-by. Choosing subtle colors, toning down the violent colors which had always been characteristic of his work, Haring takes his inspiration from the colors of the buildings in Pisa and of the town generally, to create a work which would be in harmony with its social and environmental setting. It is one of the very few outdoor public works created by Haring for permanent display, not ephemeral and destined to be used only as one in a series of temporary mass communications. The 30 figures in the mural evoke Haring's typical vitality and his ceaseless creative energy which allowed him to create and leave behind this anthem to life only a few months before his death from AIDS. source: comune.pisa.it A word about pricing: Each 24x16 inches print is being sold as a limited edition 2 of 10. The price for prints 1-5 $600; prints #6-9 $800 and the last print in the series, numbered 10 $1000 Increasing the price of the prints as sales go deeper into the edition is standard practice in the fine art photography market.
