About The Artwork
The photograph was taken with analog film in 1999 and scanned to digital almost twenty years later. Unanue is an abandoned mansion used by the owners of a plantation in Cañete, Peru. José Unanue bought a castle in the state of Bavaria in Germany, and shipped much of its possessions back to Cañete. In this version I created a new atmosphere emphazing the old furniture to reflect the passing of time. Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta 100% cotton fine art paper (308 gsm). Size includes 3 cm white border. Signed on the reverse.
