Natalia Samsonova is a Swiss-Russian artist, photographer and designer, born into a family of Moscow muralists and battle painters Her career began in a small publishing house in Moscow. Later, during her professional career, Natalia worked as Art Director of the Irina Arkhipova Foundation and was awarded a silver medal of the fund by Irina Konstantinovna herself on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. Later, she started to work at Cosmopolitan Magazine as a senior designer. After 5 years of experience in this glossy magazine, Natalia was appointed as art director of the „Kira Plastinina“ fashion company, where she worked with Russian and international celebrities. In 2016, after moving to Switzerland, Natalia started with a series of graphical artworks and fine art photography inspired by Swiss culture, nature, architecture and small daily things. All her works are produced on high-quality fine art materials. In her photos and artworks, Natalia use many different techniques and materials like acrylic and oil colors, digital tools, paper, wood, acrylic glass, and Alu-Dibond. Each of artwork is unique, individual and available in different sizes. ARTIST’S STATEMENT My ultimate goal is to see and depict the unseen, and to share this unique perspective with my audience. I am an artist who works with a diverse range of materials and techniques. My passion lies in capturing vivid and graphic images, transforming the world around me into emotionally charged, two-dimensional representations. Whether through the lens of a camera, the texture of paper, or the canvas brought to life with paint, I employ various tools to give life to my artistic vision. In my craft, I place emphasis on the everyday scenes, revealing hidden patterns and relationships in the colors and shapes of the world that surrounds us, whether it be the human form, nature, or architectural marvels.
