Iceland is one of my favorite places to shoot. With dramatic landscapes and ever changing weather makes for a unique adventure anytime of the year. This image was taken flying over Laki craters in May 2019. The Laki volcanic landscape was created during the eruptions in 1784 - creating roughly 130 craters across a huge area of the Icelandic Highlands. The surreal landscape gives you the feeling that you could be flying over the moons surface. The image was captured from a helicopter. My work focuses on the graphic nature of our surrounds. From above you see the landscape in a totally different perspective. When I'm shooting from above I'm always looking that unique angle that you do not see from the ground. Using shapes, colors and textures of the landscape to frame the image. My photographs are printed on museum-quality Archival Pigment papers. Lightfast/ fade-resistant for 100+ years on 100% cotton rag fiber paper meticulously printed by one of the only six Platinum certified Hanumuhle Studios based in Atlanta. All photographs come with a hand signed and numbered certificate of authenticity by the artist Andrew Kibble. Certificates are sent separately from the print.

Growing up among the spires of Oxford and exploring the surrounding countryside led to my passion for photography. For me it’s always been about form and shapes, colors and textures. Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to travel and explore. Whether it’s mountains, deserts or seas, I am captivated by the beauty of nature. I look forward to waking up before sunrise to hike up a mountain to capture first light; driven by the uncertainty of what will happen. The contrast from the hustle and bustle of city life to experiencing a quiet hike, the pristine reflections on a glacier lake or waking up under the stars looking for the perfect mix of location and light.
