Street Photography of a walking man under in a pedestrian area. Emphasized by the use of Black and White the general mood is transferred to the canvas and the size of it helps to easily transmit the perception of the photographed ambience. The man from the back black dressed with a hat is very iconic. There is a sense of belonging but loneliness ad the same time. Male and dominant posture with hat and dressed like in another century. The detail of the bags in his hands takes us back to reality and to the present. The Black and White tend to sepia color (warm black and white) gives the sense of old style. There is anyhow the perception of an ancient photo but link to contemporary world. The use of canvas with wooden support allows to have a relative light artwork with big dimensions and a nice compromise between good visual impact maintaining the correct opacity with no reflection. The Street photography conveys a sense of reality into an artwork because the scene is natural and not prepared. There is always one shot possibility and there is no possibility to repeat the event. The beauty of candid photography is that the subject is absolutely unaware of being photographed. The special point of view, the light conditions that can not be influenced, makes each artwork unique and difficult. Patience and time is the only way to get a great shot, after which the use of Black and White, the light and the composition can bring the subject and the artwork to a new conceptual level just extrapolating it from the surrounding context.

Marco Caramello is a photographer involved also in conceptual artworks. His idea of space is emphasized by an unconventional use of the light that enhances the subject. Photography is a rapid and powerful form of communication that allows to "write" and then "communicate" through the use of light which becomes the main tool capable of giving character and perspective to any subject. Although based on real subjects, his works reveal a plot in which Reality and Imagination intertwine, without therefore trespassing on a metaphor. To achieve this, the artist draws his sources between physics and technology, without forgetting that everything shall be guided by instinct and emotions. As he describes it “Photography is a perfect mean to capture an ephemeral moment and transform it in something capable of evoking emotions forever”. Taking inspiration from his own personal life, in the artworks always echoes something related to our everyday life, often connected to the environment that surrounds him. These are particular situations that would go unnoticed in the original context, but that takes a very special dimension when reinterpreted by him. In constant search for new approaches to "read the city", as he likes to say, Marco Caramello thus creates artworks based on innovative lighting effects. By changing the rules and playing with light in an unpredictable ways the objects of our everyday life undergo a transmutation. As an artist, the portrait was a starting point in his growth and always remains present even when there are not necessarily human subjects. Everything in nature, landscape, man-made objects or architectural constructions can be highlighted and enhanced as in a portrait, it is only a matter of waiting for the optimal conditions and play with unusual or unconventional points of views. The artist seems to decompose the subject and then offers a very personal interpretation that frees him from the historical reality that surrounds him. The peculiarity of the style allows to establish a strong link between the public and the author. The possibility of a dual interpretation, often amplified by the emotions, contributes to involve the viewer through a subtle message based on what you see and, even more, on what you perceive but you cannot necessarily see. This vision represents his personal interpretation of Henri Cartier-Bresson's quote “To photograph: it is to put on the same line of sight the head, the eye and the heart.
