Patricia Vega is an award-winning visual artist, graphic designer, and educator whose work bridges tradition and innovation. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the National University of Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, Patricia has cultivated a rich and diverse practice that spans over three decades, with exhibitions across Canada and internationally since 1990. Based in the tranquil surroundings of Mansfield, Ontario, Patricia’s studio is the heart of her creative journey. Her multidisciplinary approach embraces cyanotype, printmaking, and mixed media, allowing her to explore a wide range of materials and techniques. At the center of her current practice is the "Bohemian in Blue" collection—a body of work rooted in the historic cyanotype process and reimagined through a contemporary, personal lens. Through this collection, Patricia experiments with textiles, paper, and glass, transforming everyday materials into striking compositions of Prussian blue. From delicate silk scarves and hand-printed cards to intricate works on watercolor or Japanese papers, her creations reflect both technical mastery and poetic expression. Each piece invites the viewer into a tactile world where tradition meets modernity, and where craftsmanship is infused with soul. Award 1st Prize: Press Gang 25 Printmaking Exhibition, Gallery of Mississauga, Canada - 2007.
